Sometimes...

I just don't understand people. They ask you a question, you give them the truth, as to the best of your knowledge, and they still don't believe you. What's the point in asking if they're just going to think you're lying anyway? Then they ignore you like you're shit in the street. Sometimes I wonder why I'm nice to these people. Maybe if I did start lying, they'd believe the lies. Because they certainly don't believe the truth.

Pepsi review

Coffee and coke? Who would have thunk it?

In the UK (not too sure if other countries will have it) a new Pepsi Max drink has been released. Pepsi Max Coffee Cino. It's a blend of traditional Pepsi Max taste with coffee flavouring.

I taste no coffee. As someone who hates most coffee drinks (love lattes), I couldnt decide if I wanted to try it or not but after Rachi mentioned it, I thought I would give it a try. The first taste from the bottle, I couldn't taste the coffee. Infact, the first taste reveals a flavour not dissimilar to plain Pepsi Max. The after taste is a bit weird. I cant decide if it's a coffee taste or not, and it's a sweeter taste than normal Pepsi Max. So, if you dont like really sweet tastes, dont try it. My overall comment on it is that it's ok. I wouldnt go out of my way to search shops to buy a bottle and now that I've had a 4th drink from the bottle, I can taste the coffee but it's not that strong at all. I'd mark this 6/10

DaNi3L's Raps

For those that havn't been to My personal Blog I made before I left it for here lol due to the fact i don't work on my blog very much never was to good anyways I'm tranfering one important blog I made there it deals with a Rap I personally created myself.

Remember This may not be much but I just had some time on me at the creation and put some stuff into it hope you like.

It's Called

Mind Games

I'll be your host for today
I'm gonna go thru my life if I may,
I was born at the end of the day unknown of the Sacrifices Jesus had made,
By the grace of God I'm still alive,
Thru him I find the strength to survive,
as Kayne West says Jesus Walks with me,
he died on the cross for me I believe,
I can't say you would like to be me
but at least I know my soul be free,

What do you do when your in battle with yourself?
What do you do when there is no help?
when your mind is split
between good and evil, and can't be fixed.

Now bare with me, Don't run from me,
cause what I'm about to say is apart of me,
My mind raging out of control,
don't know how long I can stay sane, without council,
At times you may hear me scream loud as I can
MY LORD TAKE ME NOW, TAKE ME AS I AM!
I can say it, really there's nothing to fear,
they say in god we trust, but it's the flesh we lust
for the sin, the sex, the violence, The mess
My mind runs thru these sins I must confess,
I know my soul has been compromised
that's why I know I must confide
in the lord we trust, the one that died for us.

It's the minds that control us
It's the minds that can fool us
the mind that makes us who we are,
if you lose your mind you wont' get far
Oh Lord I believe it to be True
The Lord loves all of you

Thanks that's all of it I know it ain't much as previously stated

If only they had done it right

In the early hours of Wednesday morning a gang, of about 6 men, raided a Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent, England. The estimated amount they stole is £50million. You can read the updated news on it here.

In what is thought to be Britain's biggest robbery, the manager, his family and 14 staff at Securitas were forced to co-operate during the raid. They first struck at about 1830 GMT on Tuesday on the A249 near Stockbury where the manager was abducted by men posing as police officers in a Volvo car. He was then taken to a farm and told that if he didnt cooperate, his family would be harmed. Police said the gang of at least six men had been "armed, dangerous, and violently threatening". A £2m reward has been offered by Securitas in the hope that it will bring forward anyone with vital information.

I think they've already arrested 4 or 5 people and there was talk of the gang being involved in organized crime but if that is the case, I'm sure they would have thought through what would happen after they got away. I thought the money would have been filtered into europe and overseas accounts in the caribbean a couple of days after the event but there has been a van found that contained a vast amount of money. I've not paid that much attention to the details until today. So I've probably missed something. Anyway, you can click the link and read about it for yourself. Quite amazing that they managed to do it. It's just a shame that they had to terrorize a family to get what they wanted. The manager and his family are now in a safe house. Their lives are most likely ruined now. Scarred for life.

a continue of an earlier post

While shopping lastnight with my mum, I came across a dvd that I was told to watch called Rose Red (Stephan King). Luna had made a post about this earlier on the blog, which can be read here. She gives a very detailed description of what the mini series was about and I've decided to post with my views on it.

When I picked the dvd up, I noticed that the rating for it was a 12. So I thought "maybe it isnt going to be as good as Luna, Michele and others have said it is". I was wrong to think that! I couldnt sleep lastnight and at 1am I put the dvd on. Now I have to admit..I didnt realise that Luna had said it was over 5 hours long and I thought the whole thing would be on the first disc. I finally finished watching it after 6am this morning. I couldn't go to bed. I knew I was tired but I couldn't move myself away from watching it!

This is something that everyone should see at some point. Some special effects (like Luna said) are very basic BUT I can honestly say..I jumped a few times and that doesnt normally happen when I'm watching something. I thought the rating that it has in the UK is quite low. There's a point where a guys fingers are cut off and I was like "JAYSIS! Kids shouldnt be watching this" but kids these days watch anything and everything. So my opinion on that doesnt matter. If you're looking for something that makes you not want to move till it's all finished, then watch Rose Red. It should be added to the list of good screenwork Stephan King has done throughout his time. I was pleasently surprised by it. So either hurry out to your nearest dvd store or for the people in the UK...head to ASDA, where I bought the dvd for £6.97 (pretty good for a two disc dvd). You wont be disappointed!

I need help for my blog!!

I seriously hope someone reading this can help me in any way!

I've spent hours surfing sites to try and find a good free template to use on here. The select few I've liked have flaws in them (weird swirly things) and I'm not even going to attempt making my own. That would be such a bad idea! If anyone can suggest a good site, I would be ever so greatful and everyone who suggests somewhere will get a perm link back to their website on this blog.

Please help a very desperate blogger =(

Dangermouse

Months ago, my mum had to use her saloon car to take hay back to her farm (for her horses). I can't remember when she first noticed her extra passenger or noticed signs of the passenger but we put it to the back of our minds. I then borrowed the car for a few months and it never once crossed my mind that the passenger could still be there.

Last weekend, my mum showed me what she had found. The night before, she had put some shopping in the back of the car and amoungest the shopping was a pack of cigarettes. When she went to take the pack out, there was a hole in the side. Turns out, the extra passenger she had was still there! She bought some mousetraps and tonight, she set them in the back of the car while we went to visit my gran. After 2 hours, we decided to head home. I was just unlocking my car door when she shouted me over. She had opened the trunk of her car and wanted to see if I had a flashlight to see if the mouse had been caught. She moved a bag to the side and screamed in horror. Jumping about a foot away from the car. Her passenger was now a mouse stuck in a mousetrap but before anyone starts shouting "ANIMAL ABUSE"..the mouse wriggled out of the trap and is now loose in the car again but she's setting the traps again tonight.

Weekend visit

It's been over 2 weeks since my gran was admitted to hospital after having a mini stroke and after the doctors getting her hopes up by saying they would send her home and then changing their minds, they are letting us take her home for the weekend. Picking her up at 4pm Sat and having her back in the hospital by 6pm Sun.

She's really looking forward to it and it's helped her mood change from being so down that she would cry all the time, to her having a smile back on her face and the odd joke cracking. My mum and I have to stay overnight with her on the sat and her (annoying) brother will be visiting her. The brother is one of those really annoying people, who interupt when you try to talk, tell you the same shit over and over...in general..just wont shut the fuck up. He's 84. I guess I have to let him off with it? I have to put up with him till tuesday. He'll drive me insane!

Dude, where's my car?

In my carport!!! Yes, I finally got my new car!! It's a Nissan Pulsar+, 4 door sedan, all the bits and bobs. Picked it up yesterday afternoon, been driving it everywhere! It's so much better to drive than our old car, I've still got to get used to the sensitivity of the brake and accelerator. But it won't take me long.
I did have a bit of a problem with the CD player though. I burned some mp3's onto a disc, and the player wouldnt play them. So I had a bit of a brainwave, as I can do on rare occasions. I bought some CD-R's instead of CD-RW's...and they work! So now I won't have to spend $250 on a new CD player! Top stuff!
I'll post some pics later on when I get a chance. I have one pic that I took just quickly, but its blurry and not a very good shot. Updates coming! :D

name the movie!!

Here's a quote from one of my fav movies. Try and guess which it is, and no cheating by pasting the quote into google!

Well, I attended Juilliard. I'm a graduate of Harvard Business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through the black plague and had a pretty good time during that. I've seen The Exorcist about 167 times and it keeps getting funnier every single time I see it!! Not to mention the fact that you're talking to a dead guy! Now what do you think? You think I'm qualified?

Just a little thing...

I am headed back to Atlanta tomorrow afternoon. I have done what I came down to Florida for and now it is time for me to head back home. With that being said, I will be offline for a bit once I get back up there. So, I have a few people to say bye to.

Jen, I will miss you. Thank you for always being there for me. I hope that things will be better for your Grandmother and that you stay well.

Luna, I will miss you also. I will miss your advise. You always give the best advice when I need it and I try to put it to good use.

Danny, I would miss you, but you are always so damn mean. :( J/k. I will miss you also.

Deer, I know you read this every so often. Just know that I will miss you most of all but the again I won't, as we always have the phone, SINCE YOU FINALLY BRAVED UP AND CALLED ME, FUCKER. I love you and always will.

To the rest of you, don't get too excited reading this, as I will be back. I just don't know when.

BLOODY BANKS!

As you probably know (and for those that don't) I'm purchasing a near new second hand car. I got a personal loan, and because of my job as a carer for my father (who has a serious heart condition) I was able to release my superannuation funds early. With much signing of papers, doctors letters, mechanics assessments etc, I managed to get my cheque last week. I deposited it into my cheque account at my bank which I have been a customer for 21 years. I was informed that my cheque would not clear for 6 working days. WHAT THE FUCK??? The company I have my superannuation with isn't likely to run out of money. So why so long? I asked my bank, they told me that if the cheque was from Western Australia, it would take 2 days to clear. Because it was a cheque from the Eastern States (New South Wales, I think) it would take 6 working days. If it was an overseas cheque, try 30 working days. I don't understand it. With technology these days, why should it take so long? I thought banks had a system where they could interact with other banks. In this day and age, I find it ridiculous.

WTF is going on?!

I can understand the fact that blogger goes down at times. I've learned to live with that but what I cant stand is blog posts and comments going missing!

I posted about 3 comments being missing from the grey hair topic and now the post about those missing things....HAS GONE MISSING! Pissed off is what I am! STOP STEALING OUR BLOG POSTS!!

...and the hits keep on coming

I'm growing old. I don't wanna grow old! I found 3 grey hairs. 3!!! and people wonder why I spend money getting my hair highlighted!

"you should stick with your natural colour. Go back to having normal brown hair. It suits you"
NO, BECAUSE YOU'LL SEE MORE GREY HAIRS WITH JUST BROWN HAIR!!!

Ok. Make it 4 grey hairs. Not 3. I keep picking up my mirror and checking for more. I'll be doing this for the rest of the night. I need to get my hair coloured again. I can't be walking around with grey hairs. My dad turned grey when he was 29. That's two years left before I'm suppose to go completely grey. I can't have this! There's nothing wrong with grey hair, don't get me wrong but I can't be going grey. I just can't! Oh the horror of it all.

R.I.P Smash Hits Magazine

My early teenage years were full of buying pop magazines and collecting the posters of my fav bands, and reading the lyrics to my fav songs before dancing about my bedroom. One of the main magazines I would buy every 2 weeks was Smash Hits. Full of pop gossip, posters, interviews and song lyrics. Today, I heard on the news that Smash Hits magazine is to close after 28 years of publishing. The Smash Hits brand will continue via Smash Hits music TV, a website and a digital radio station.

Smash Hits was first published in September 1978 with Belgian one-hit-wonder Plastic Bertrand - real name Roger Jouret - on the cover. The fortnightly magazine regularly sold 500,000 copies in the early 1980s, but its biggest-selling edition featuring Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan was bought by more than one million readers in 1989.

Although I've not bought this magazine in years, it still holds a lot of memories for me. I use to cut everything out that had Take That on it. I would keep the front covers with them and then added them to a folder full of other stuff I had collected. It's a shame that they are now stopping the mag. I can imagine how sales have declined now that kids can use the internet to get their celeb gossip and song lyrics. It's the end of an era!

Domestic Violence

Ok, Jen did one on self-harming so now it is my turn.

I have come across a lot of people stating that they feel no sympathy for women who stay in abusive relationships. I want to give a little insite into why they stay in the abusive relationships and then maybe people will stop and think before the speak about something they know nothing about.

In an abusive relationship, the woman is constantly told how ugly and stupid she is, and also that no other man is gonna want someone as fucked up as she is. She is told she can't do anything right and that everything that happens to her or her family is all her fault whether she has any control over the situation or not. Example: The man is late to work, it is her fault because she should of gotten him up earlier. There is no more money for the rest of the week, it is her fault because she went to the grocery store with $20 for groceries for the week and spent the whole $20. After a few years of listening to things like that on a daily basis, she starts to mentally believe what the man says.

Also, women who stay in abusive relationships most times have children and feel that they can't leave because they have no where to go. Which come to find out if very true. While trying to get over my relationship with my ex, I have found out a few things. Unless you have family or very close friends to help you, more than likely you will end up going back to the abusive man. You ask why? Here is why...

Yes, there are shelters that the females can go to with their children, but once they get there, they are required to go to all these appointments and meetings, which they have to either take their children or find a babysitter. Now, how are you going to find a babysitter if you are at a shelter and how are you gonna take your child on a job interview?! There is no accommodations for child care when the mother is trying to find ways to get back on her feet.

Now to the job thing...
Most abusive woman are not allowed to work. It is a control factor for the man. As long as she can't work, she never has her own money and working also helps make a woman feel independent of men. So, if she hasn't worked, she has no references or job experience and ends up having to find a low paying job which most times isn't enough to live off of.

There is low income housing, but in some cases, the female cannot get that because they won't offer low income housing to anyone with negative credit. Sometimes the man makes the female run up bad credit in her name, and when it comes time to try to get housing, she can't because she was never able to pay that credit off.

While, you may sit there and say Women who go back to their abusers are stupid, the woman on the other hand feels that atleast I had a roof over my head and food to eat for my children...I'm going back because I can't make it out here on my own. In all honesty, there is not much help for a female with children to try to break away from domestic violence, unless she has family and friends who are willing to support and stand by her.

I just thought I would share some of that with all of you.
