This morning it became official with a letter from the hospital. I have Polycystic ovarian syndrome, which I kind of knew anyway after the doctor at the maternity clinic said in her opinion I did have PCOS. The letter says "your ultrasound scan findings were in keeping with polycystic ovarian syndrome"..IT'S ONLY TAKEN YOU 4 WEEKS TO SEND ME THIS BLOODY LETTER!
Anyway, with another tiny weight off my shoulder I can now start medication to control my symptoms. I really do urge anyone who has the slighest hint that she coul;d have pcos to get in contact with your doctor and get tested.

My 16 yo dd has PCOS, so I've learned a lot about it in the last couple months... It is a relief when you finally have a name for your problems, but it's discouraging that this is something you'll have to live with for the rest of your life...
