A word, if I may...

It's been over a week since I last posted anything here. To be truthful, I've lacked words to post and more so..lacked the drive to post anything. Been feeling like shit, been going through hell and it's not even close to being over but I'm a soldier (as most of you know) and I'll pull through it.
I bought a book today, which I'll read and most likely review in a few days. Got some new dvd's and I'll most likely tell you about one of them. We'll see how shit goes and thank you to everyone who has been asking/worrying about my condition. I love you all! and I'm sorry to the people that may think I've been ignoring them. I've not. It's just how I deal with things. I love you all too!

The Skeleton key

Was watching TV and I noticed a trailer for this new movie. So I went searching for a link to it. Here it is :- The Skeleton key

From the writer of The Ring (Ehren Kruger) and the director of K-Pax (Iain Softly) comes Universal Pictures' contemporary supernatural thriller, The Skeleton Key.
Set largely in the dark atmospheric backwoods just outside of New Orleans, The Skeleton Key stars Kate Hudson as Caroline, a live-in nurse hired to care for an elderly woman's (Gena Rowlands) ailing Husband (John Hurt) in their home....a foreboding and decrepit mansion in the Louisiana delta. Intrigued by the enigmatic couple, their mysterious and secretive ways and their rambling house, Caroline begins to explore the old mansion. Armed with a skeleton key that unlocks every door, she discovers a hidden attic room that holds a deadly and terrifying secret. Peter Sarsgaard portrays Luke, the local attorney working on the couple's estate, and Joy Bryant plays Jill, Caroline's best friend

Briton faces extradition after U.S. hacking allegations

While away this weekend, I bought a paper I never normally buy. The only reason for buying it was for the free Only Fools And Horses DvD. While waiting for my friends to finish getting ready, I sat down with the paper and started thumbing through it. I came across an article about Gary McKinnon. A Scottish guy (in some papers they say he's english), who managed to hack into NASA computers and the like. I'm not normally interested in news like this. If I'm being honest, I only look at the pictures in the paper and read news about celebs or Big Brother but this story really interested me and I thought I would share it with everyone. So here it is...click the link..

Hulk Knows Best

Fearsome, funny 80's wrestling star Hulk Hogan, known as Terry to his family, is trying to do a repeat of the Osbournes - a cleaned up version. Hulk, his wife Linda, daughter Brooke and son Nick are ready to put their home life on reality TV on Hulk Knows Best. But Brooke, 16, who announced she was ready for superstardom, said Linda's insistence that she was the bad child of the family, pouted " Why me? I'm a virgin, I don't do drugs. I'm perfect. I'm nice to people. I always do my homework." Not so much Osbourne as the Brady Bunch?

This was in our Saturday paper's TV guide...sounds rather interesting, but why would he do this? To me, it sounds like someone's star is fading? And from what I've heard from people in chat that have seen the show, Hulk is a mean sonofabitch, his daughter is a slut, his wife should cut down on the eyeliner, and his son gets bitched out for having condoms in his bedroom. Hmm, typical American life? Sounds like it to me!

Book Review

The Cellar by Richard Laymon

This book, in fact, was written after he read a book by Stephen King, and it soon became his first best selling novel, with which he detached from his previous nasty, dark suspense thrillers, veering toward the supernatural horror. He decided to come up with a new sort of evil being, rather than build a novel around standardized phenomena like vampires or werewolves. The 'beast' was the result. The Cellar was also inspired by visits to a couple of California tourist attractions: the Hearst Castle and the Winchester House. The original title for the book, besides, was Beast House. Unfortunately for him, the John Belushi film, Animal House, came along so Laymon's U.S. publisher decided to change the title, even though Laymon himself never thought highly of the choice. This is also showed by the fact that later, in the mid '80s, he released Beast House, intended as a sequel to The Cellar. Again, things didn't turn out exactly in the expected way, since Beast House wasn't actually marketed as a sequel. The Cellar sold well over 200,000 copies, it ended up on the B. Dalton bestseller for a month and it was even chosen as one of the 100 Best Horror Novels of All Time edited by Stephen Jones and Kim Newman.

My Review
The Cellar is actually telling 3 different sides to the story, which all start joining together. Main characters are Donna and Sandy Hayes (mother and daughter) who go on the run from her ex husband. They end up in a town which has a Beast House...a tourist attraction because of all the murders that happened there over the years. Judgement Rucker and Larry Maywood happen to meet and Larry seeks help from Judgement about a past experience, which then helps them meet with Donna and Sandy. Roy is Donna's ex husband and throughout the book, he's looking to find her... I started reading this book lastnight (well, this morning) at about 2am. I finished the book at 6:30am. I just couldnt put it down. it kept me gribbed throughout. I highly suggest this book for anyone who's into reading supernatural horror books...even thoughs who arent into those types of books. Richard Laymon, in my opinion, is an amazing writer and this isnt the first book I've read of his. The other kept me gripped to. I suggested it to other people and they also loved it. One person who isnt into this type of book, has now started buying the others he has written. So, go out and buy it or head down the local library. The Cellar It's a must read! (thanks to Rachi for suggesting Richard Laymon books to me)

1967 Shelby GT 500

I came home tonight and I was in for a surprise! Gone In Sixty Seconds was on TV. This movie, IMHO, is kick ass! Some might disagree but who cares? You have no taste!

Now, as you can see at the side, there is a pic of the most beautiful car...EVER!!!!

A 1967 Shelby Mustang GT 500. Eleanor, as she's named in the movie.

I swear..In my life time, I will own this car. One just like it shall be mine! ALL MINE. I would actually do anything to own this car and no, it's not sad. It would be a beautiful relationship. A never ending relationship. Me and the most beautiful car in the world and if anyone is thinking..."what the hell is this person talking about? Is this person male??" I'm female and yes, females can love cars, for I love this car!

Dark Water

New horror movie out now!

Based on a film by the creators of the Japanese version of the "The Ring" comes this haunting, chilling, film about a young mother who goes to extreme lengths to solve a mystery and protect her daughter. Dark Water looks hella cool, plus is has some well known actors....

Jennifer Connelly - Labyrinth, Waking The Dead, A Beautiful Mind
Ariel Gade - Being introduced in the movie
Pete Postlethwaite - Romeo and Juliet, In The Name Of The Father, Usual Suspects
Dougray Scott - Ever After: A Cinderella Story, Enigma, Mission: Impossible II
Tim Roth - Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Rob Roy
John C. Reilly - Boogie Nights, Gangs Of New York, Criminal
Perla Haney-Jardine - Kill Bill 2
Camryn Manheim - Scary Movie 3, Twisted, Elvis

From watching the link for a preview for Dark Water, I know I'll love it! Having a fellow Scot in it doesnt sway my mind at all (I love Dougray!!) and Tim Roth?....OMG. I love him more. He's just amazing in any movie I see him in. More so Rob Roy (which I'm not to sure if everyone would have heard/seen of it) Pete Postlethwaite is just unbelievable too and from being a lover of Labyrinth for many many years and my love of A Beautiful Mind, Jennifer Connelly will most likely be amazing in this movie too.

I can't wait to see Dark Water. I'll have to try and find someone to come in to see it with me. Not much of my friends like horror movies. So once I have, I'll post my review on it. Till then....If anyone goes into see it...ENJOY YOURSELF!!!

eyeohart

I was looking through the files on my comp and I found this. It was shown to me last year and if I remember right, it was made by Maynard (from A Perect Circle/Tool).
I can't remember all that the person told me about it (I know. I suck) but at least I'm sharing it with people!

It's not often that I'll like pictures that people show me but I really like this one and even used it for awhile as the background on my MsN windows.

I'm actually sitting here trying to think of words to describe why I like it so much but I'm drawing a blank!

so I'll leave you all to comment on it and say what you think of it. Enjoy!!

London Bombings

Today, I woke to see the news that London had been attacked

37 people dead, at this time but the count could rise. I've been watching all day and I still cant get my head around it. The images captured on mobile phones, TV cameras and eyewitness accounts are unbelieveable! I'm very very surprised that not more people died in this bombing. I cant even think of anything to type about it, which I find surprising. I always have something to comment with. I will say that I'm surprised this hasnt happened before but sitting and thinking about it...I don't know if it was a wake up call after the Olympics 2012 were announced as being held in London or if it was a thought out attack and it just so happened after the announcement. I would have thought that maybe something would have happened during the Live8 concert or even the summit held in Edinburgh, Scotland. God forbid if that did! The casualty count would be alot higher.
I'll probably comment on all this at a later date. Once I've read all the newspapers from tomorrow and some more things on the net

Ideas!

Okay!

As much as I love the name of this blog, I'm thinking that a name change is needed (to spice things up) I'm looking for some ideas from people and then we'll decide if we want to use any of them.
I know not alot of people visit here but if anyone has happened to drop by while surfing blogspot.com, feel free to leave any comment on a new name for us and if anyone is reading this after I've forced them to look and comment...WE LOVE YOU!!

An Idea

well...not really. I lack an idea for a post here. I've sat for some time, thinking what to type

Now, I could sit and type how much of a bitch I think someone is for leaving me again soon for a gay ass car meet. I could also sit and say how much I adore the abuse I get from said person. The latter would be false....

So as I sit here and type this out, an idea has past through my brain...and the only idea is....

TO SHOW MY NEW WINAMP SKIN (how fucking boring am I?)
